This woodsy
oil has been
in use since
times of
antiquity as
a
strengthening
support,
both for
physical and
spiritual
needs. It is
mostly used
in chronic
complaints,
although it
can be very
helpful in
some acute
cases, such
as
bronchitis,
other
bacterial
infections,
and as an
anti-fungal
agent.
Cedarwood is
effective in
treating
arthritis
and
rheumatism.
Along with
its
diuretic,
anti-catarrhal,
and
expectorant
properties,
it is also
calming to
the nervous
system and
glands, and
a kidney
tonic. It
also mixes
well with
citronella
as a bug
repellent.
Contra-indications:
use diluted
only; not
for use in
pregnancy.
