Cedarwood, juniperus virginiana, USA

This woodsy oil has been in use since times of antiquity as a strengthening support, both for physical and spiritual needs. It is mostly used in chronic complaints, although it can be very helpful in some acute cases, such as bronchitis, other bacterial infections, and as an anti-fungal agent. Cedarwood is effective in treating arthritis and rheumatism. Along with its diuretic, anti-catarrhal, and expectorant properties, it is also calming to the nervous system and glands, and a kidney tonic. It also mixes well with citronella as a bug repellent.

Contra-indications: use diluted only; not for use in pregnancy.

Note: other varieties contain 10% thujospene, use those varieties with caution for children
