This oil is
prized for
it’s light,
but sharp
and
refreshing
fragrance.
This oil can
be
photosensitizing,
so use
caution
before
applying to
your skin
and exposing
it outdoors
if you are
prone to
sunburn. It
is used
primarily
for
digestive
problems and
infections,
including
parasites;
and mood
balance, or
depression.
Bergamot
relaxes
nervousness,
agitation,
insomnia,
hyperactivity
and anxiety.
It is
antiseptic
and has
anti-viral
and
anti-fungal
properties.
It’s main
chemical
components
are l-linayl
acetate,
d-limonene,
bergaptene,
nerol, and
citral.
Bergamot
contains
coumarins,
and can have
a blood
thinning
effect. Do
not use when
on blood
thinning
prescriptions.
